In Connecticut, Juneteenth organisers scrambled to fill the gaps left by corporate sponsors who quietly pulled out, fearing “reputational risk.” Also, in Washington, a federal judge ruled that the cancellation of diversity-focused NIH grants wasn’t just unfair but was ‘unconstitutional’.

Companies are renaming or quietly shelving their DEI programmes.
Not because inclusion no longer matters, but because many are now afraid to say so out loud.

Behind all these politics and policy changes is a simple message:
When equity efforts shrink, access disappears.
And it’s not just anyone losing out; it’s underrepresented communities who pay the price.
