Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Gideon Gyamfi, I work in Supply and Logistics at Kingfisher Plc, and I am currently in my third year rotation of the Finance Graduate Scheme.

Why did you join the Kingfisher Finance Graduate Scheme?

Coming out of university, there are various career paths you can pursue; I knew I wanted to work in finance, but I wasn’t quite sure where in finance I wanted to work. The graduate scheme offers great insights into different areas of finance before fully committing to a career path.

What sets the Kingfisher Grad scheme apart from others?

When joining Kingfisher, you get a lot of responsibility early on, which not only boosts your confidence but also allows you to learn and grow at the same time. In addition to this, you get a comprehensive view of the organisation and how different departments are interconnected, which allows you to see how your work contributes to the overall success of the company.

What do you consider your top 3 things about working at Kingfisher?

Firstly, I like the location and the aesthetic look of the office itself, coupled with the high-end facilities that we have here. Secondly, Kingfisher has an amazing collaborative culture, and everyone is helpful and friendly. The third thing I like about working at Kingfisher is that you have a voice; it doesn’t matter what department or level of seniority you are in, your opinion is always valued, and you always have a voice.
