Snr Technical Program Manager, Prime Video Offers Experience
Description
Prime Video is a premium streaming service that offers customers a vast collection of TV shows and movies — all with the ease of finding what they love to watch in one place. We offer thousands of popular movies and TV shows, including Amazon Originals and exclusive licensed content, alongside exciting live sports. We also give members the opportunity to subscribe to add-on channels they can cancel anytime, and to rent or buy new-release movies and box sets on the Prime Video Store. Prime Video is a fast-paced, growth business — available in over 200 countries and territories worldwide — where innovating on behalf of our customers is at the heart of everything we do. If this sounds exciting to you, please read on.
The Prime Video Offers Experience (OffersX) team owns the moments where customers decide how to enjoy Prime Video; whether that's joining Prime, subscribing to a channel like Paramount+ or Max, or renting a new release. Our mission is to create the most intuitive and compelling commerce experience across Prime Video: orchestrating how every offer is presented from the first time a customer discovers content, through comparing their options, to completing checkout and getting into playback. We do this across all of Prime Video's businesses and on every device our customers watch on. We measure our success on turning customers into paying, satisfied subscribers and buyers.
The Offers Experience team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to own the Offers Experience program — leading our experimentation roadmap and cross-org initiatives that make our offer experience clearer, more consistent, and more compelling, and that grow paid conversion across Prime Video worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
- Defining and leading program management mechanisms for key engineering initiatives, which typically involve multiple stakeholders across engineering, product and UX.
- Owning tech initiatives which are ambiguous and bringing clarity to systems improvements as well as driving alignment across engineering and product for delivery.
- Owning key engineering goals for PV offers experience and the wider organization - be they improving the user experience, enabling PV to go faster in launching new capabilities, or drive innovative approaches with GenAI
- Partnering with multiple cross functional organisations within Prime Video, Commerce Science, from Prime, Channels, Transactional VOD, Payments, Theatrical, Linear, Advertising, Live Sports and PV International
- Working with AI (required): This team runs AI-first, and so does this role. We expect you to use AI and GenAI tools to remove the undifferentiated work that fills a TPM's week — status roll-ups, data pulls, first-draft documents, meeting prep — so you can reinvest that time in the high-judgement decisions only you can make. Concretely, we look for what Amazon calls GenAI Fluency: the ability to determine when and how to integrate GenAI tools, evaluate and refine their outputs, and apply responsible AI practices to augment productivity and quality. You don't need to be an AI expert, but you do need to be hungry to use these tools, curious about where they help, and disciplined about where human judgement still has to lead. Candidates should expect to discuss how they've used (or would use) AI to do more with less.
A day in the life
- Leading Critical Project Reviews (CPRs) for PV offers experience and Commerce Tech goals, together with engineering, product, UX and business stakeholders.
- Periodically leading and driving roadmap reviews with engineering and product peers.
- Authoring 2 or 6 pagers to drive engineering transformation across PV Offers Experience and the wider org.
- Updating, reviewing and auditing goals that you own as well as those of your peers.
- Participating in roadmap planning (12 months and 3YP).
- Hands on development of automated workflows and agents via use of AI to remove undifferentiated work and accelerate our roadmap
About the team
Every time a customer starts a Prime membership, subscribes to a channel like Max or Paramount+, or rents a movie, they pass through an experience our team designed. Prime Video Offers Experience (OffersX) owns the moments where a customer decides how to enjoy their content — how we present what's on offer, help them compare it, and earn the click that turns a browser into a paying customer. We do this across every Prime Video business and on every device a customer can watch on.
You'll own the roadmap for how offers show up across the whole shopping journey — the messaging that helps customers discover content, the "buy box" where they compare their options and hit play, subscribe, or rent, and the way our content partners' brands are presented so customers trust what they're buying. You'll run a continuous pipeline of experiments to lift conversion, decide what we build next, and keep a dozen partner teams moving in the same direction.
This is one of the broadest surfaces in Prime Video. The same experience has to work across four different businesses (membership, subscriptions, rentals, and channels), every kind of content (movies and shows, live sports, free ad-supported, and linear TV), and every step from discovery to checkout. You'll sit between the science teams who decide which offer a customer should see and the checkout teams who process the payment — and you'll be accountable for everything in between. You'll need to win the technical respect of engineers, navigate trade-offs where two stakeholders are both right, and turn ambiguity into a prioritized plan.
It's also a genuine growth seat. You'll own high visibility outcomes, run the mechanisms leadership relies on, and have a clear path to grow your scope and influence over time.
