We are now looking for a Commissioning Editor to produce branded content for Guardian channels, from generating ideas and pitches to commissioning, editing and promotion.

About the role

  • Commissioning, researching, creating and editing branded content from a diverse range of contributors - from print and digital articles to social campaigns
  • Working on advertising pitches to ensure high-quality, varied ideas across all Guardian formats that adhere to Guardian values
  • Using data to deliver the best for our audience and our clients
  • Attending pitches and client meetings in person and remotely, including presenting ideas
  • Working with clients, advertising agencies and the wider department to ensure work matches the high Guardian standard and translates brand objectives into compelling content
  • Working with influencers, journalists and agents on interviews and collaborations

About you

  • Print and digital commissioning/editing in a features, news and/or commercial environment
  • Good knowledge of or demonstrable interest in social and multimedia content
  • Some experience of production, sub-editing and content management systems
  • Some experience of using web analytics tools
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Numerate and comfortable working with data

We operate in a hybrid environment working 3 days a week from our offices in Kings Cross and 2 days a week remotely.

Guardian News and Media is proud to be a London Living wage employer. The minimum salary for any full-time role within the organisation is £30,000 per annum. Salary ranges are dependent on skills and experience.

You'll have 30 days of annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) with the option to purchase an additional 5 days.
