Staff UX Design Manager, Geo
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in product design or UX.
- 3 years of experience leading design projects and managing people or teams.
- A portfolio of work samples showcasing design systems work across multiple projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
- 3 years of work experience working with executive leaders.
- Experience in the space of designing for AI product experiences.
- Experience in iterative design and delivery methodologies.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.

Responsibilities
- Drive the UX capabilities of Google Maps Mobility to expand across the user journeys, keeping everyday commuters, travelers, and transit partners in mind.
- Drive user experience innovation by leading discovery and ideation for new conversational AI frameworks for Google Maps on mobile.
- Act as a strategic partner to align Product, Engineering, and UX Research teams on cohesive, conversational and spatial design strategies.
- Provide the leadership and mentorship to a team of UX designers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement in the AI space.
- Operate as a thought partner to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, bringing resolution to the highly complex, ambiguous challenges of this new AI-first Google Maps experience.
