Logistics Coordinator

At Screwfix, our logistics network is critical to delivering the products our customers need, when they need them. We're looking for a Logistics Coordinator to help bring structure, pace and organisation to a fast-moving operation that supports millions of customer journeys every year.
Working closely with the Director of Logistics Operations, you'll help coordinate priorities across the function, support key projects, manage stakeholder relationships and provide the reporting and operational insight that keeps the business moving forward.
This role is part-time, working 20 hours per week across Monday to Friday.
Ideally, you'll be available between 10am and 2pm each day, providing support during our core business hours, while maintaining some flexibility to accommodate key meetings and business priorities outside of these times when required. We're also open to discussing alternative part-time working patterns with candidates looking for additional hours, provided the role remains part-time overall.

- Calendar Management: Scheduling appointments, meetings, preparing agendas, taking meeting minutes, and following up on action items and events for the Director of Logistics and where necessary the wider team.
- Task and Project Management: Assisting with task and project management by tracking deadlines on behalf of the Director of Logistics Operations, ensuring that projects progress smoothly and all key deadlines are adhered too.
- Planning and Coordination: Assisting in the planning and coordination of the 3PL relationships, ensuring contractual requirements of meetings and reporting are adhered to.
- Relationship Building:Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, and other cross functional stakeholders, particularly the 3PL across the network.
- Actively work on own development, focusing and agreeing key quarterly objectives with Line Manager - reviewed and discussed during 1 to 1s and quarterly check ins.
- Business reporting: support the operational teams in reporting and performance management across multiple contracts [DCs, Transport, MHE, carriers etc].
- Strong capability within a PA/secretary type role including communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written with excellent presentation skills.
- Flexibility and the ability to plan and organize own workload, responsiveness, show creativity and be a self-starter.
- Team player with the energy and enthusiasm to promote our core values and beliefs.
- Proven negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong degree of PC literacy, with an emphasis on accuracy and an extensive knowledge of Office 365 applications.
- Logistics background or knowledge desirable.
