Minimum qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in technical, economic, scientific writing, or journalism, focusing on AI.
  • 5 years of experience in a role requiring the analysis of peer-reviewed technical research papers in AI, computer science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5 years of experience interviewing subject matter authorities and translating ideas into accessible written and visual materials.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent long-form writing or editorial projects.
  • Submission of a professional portfolio featuring published or original pieces that demonstrate the synthesis of concepts in economics, philosophy, or science for a general audience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with storytelling and high-reach content creation across different media—multimedia, visual storytelling, social media, blogs.
  • Communications experience working directly with executives and technical leaders.
  • Strong technical interest and an understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and related socio-technical subjects.
  • Fluency in the use of AI tools to research and accelerate your work.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently in order to commuincate externally.

Responsibilities

  • Create and curate compelling written material each month, including blogs, opposite the editorial page (op-eds), talking points, speeches, case studies, social media content and more for a range of audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with a range of authorities in AI Research, including technical specialists to articulate complex socio-technical concepts and opinions into accessible narratives.
  • Engage executive leaders across the organization to ensure high-impact delivery, consistent messaging and alignment with company focus areas.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging AI research, industry trends, and global social issues related to AI.
