Job Summary:                       Lead the central management and oversight of internal and regulatory

reporting for Natural and Non-Natural Catastrophe risks and aggregations

within the Exposure Management and Climate & Nature Team

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the end-to-end delivery of internal and regulatory reporting for the Exposure Management function, covering both Natural and Non-Natural exposures
  • Own and maintain the annual Exposure Management reporting calendar, ensuring timely delivery of all internal and external returns. Liaise with internal functions as required.
  • Oversee the preparation, review and submission of Exposure Management regulatory returns, ensuring completeness, accuracy and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Returns include but not limited to;
  • Committees, Boards and Working Groups
  • Lloyd’s Exposure Management returns
  • Lloyd’s Capital Model (LCM) and Capital Planning Group (CPG) returns
  • PRA General Insurance Stress Tests (GIST)
  • Terrorism returns such as Pool Re Annual Exposure Return & GAREAT returns
  • New internal and external RDSs
  • London Fire Brigade Return
  • Rating Agency Returns
  • Work closely with the Head of Exposure Management and Climate & Nature Team, including the Senior Leadership Team to develop and manage reporting requirements and timetable. Support the Head of Exposure Management and Climate Risk in meetings with external parties and regulators.
  • Lead the coordination of Regulatory Review Committee, including the preparation of papers, presentation materials and supporting analysis for review and sign-off
  • Establish, maintain and enhance all process documentation in relation to the reporting mentioned above.
  • Implement MI to support evidencing of controls and portfolio change analyses
  • Establish, maintain and enhance controls and governance framework across Exposure Management regulatory reporting
  • Act as a senior point of contact for regulatory reporting matters, providing clear insight, robust analysis and credible challenge to senior stakeholders, governance committees and relevant regulators where required
  • Drive the development and implementation of regulatory reporting requirements arising from new jurisdictions
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting and data requests

Personal Specification:

 

Education and Qualifications

  • Educated to ‘A’ Level or equivalent
  • Graduate with a degree from any discipline

  • Able to engage confidently and professionally with regulators, presenting reporting outputs, rationale and supporting analysis with clarity and authority.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Natural and Non-Natural Catastrophe insurance experience
  • Exposure Management experience
  • Strong computer skills – Advanced Excel, VBA, SQL, R Studio, Power BI
  • Lloyd’s and other key regulator experience desirable
  • Managerial experience
