- 8 years of experience setting up manufacturing assembly processes, driving product launches and assembly process within manufacturing operations.
- 7 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or vendor management, with a specific focus on technology, EDA, or engineering services.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field.
- Experience setting up manufacturing assembly processes, driving product launches and assembly process optimization within manufacturing operations.
- Experience in technical leadership, project management, and executive communication.
- Experience in chip design.

We are seeking a proactive and commercially astute Global Commodity Manager to join our Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and Design Services team.
In this role, you will be the link between our semiconductor engineering teams and the external ecosystem of EDA vendors and design service partners. You will not just be "buying software"; you will be creating the commercial and legal frameworks that allow our chip design teams to innovate at speed. You will oversee a global spend portfolio, navigating the intricacies of licensing models and service agreements in a changing, high-growth environment.
US: $144000 - $209000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy for EDA tools (e.g., Simulation, Emulation, IP, Place and Route) and Engineering Design Services.
- Analyze market trends, vendor roadmaps, and Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) activity within the EDA landscape (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens/Mentor, Ansys, and emerging Tier-2 players) to mitigate risk and identify technological opportunities.
- Lead high-value agreements for Master Services Agreements (MSA), End User License Agreements (EULA), and Statements of Work (SOW).
- Manage supplier performance through Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), ensuring vendors meet technical support SLAs and delivery milestones.
- Demonstrate familiarity with legal structures specific to the semiconductor industry, including IP indemnity, warranty clauses, source code escrow, and remittance/tax implications in cross-border transactions.
