Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience overseeing concurrent events.
  • Experience with planning and communication management, including documentation representing programs from business and technical perspectives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience navigating ambiguous, high-pressure environments.
  • Familiarity with event-specific scheduling and data tools such as Jiffle, lead tracking systems, and badge scanning technology.
  • Strong understanding of event-specific technologies and data-driven storytelling to influence executive leadership.
  • Savvy users of AI/ML technologies with an ability to lead improvements through process automation.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Google Beam is developing advanced software and hardware technology to enable people who are separated by distance to experience a conversation as if they were together. You will have the opportunity to have a big impact working alongside researchers and engineers inventing the future of communication with Google products.

As the Deployments Program Manager for Google Beam, you will proactively identify, organize, and lead high-impact program activities and stakeholders. You are responsible for the end-to-end strategy and execution of complex events where Beam stations are deployed ranging from first-party tent poles to major industry conferences. You will scope, phase, and lead ambiguous cross-functional and cross-organizational challenges, ensuring alignment among senior stakeholders while delivering significant downstream change management.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $159000 - $231000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Define, lead, and own program charters that address scope, timeline, Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and risks for moderately complex programs.
  • Scope, phase, and lead ambiguous cross-functional and cross-organizational challenges, including delivering downstream change management.
  • Own and evolve the event intake and kick-off process, triaging requests and defining DRIs for global deployment planning.
  • Manage strategic partnerships with creative agencies and hardware partners to execute premium designs and deliver on complex on-site logistics.
  • Oversee technical readiness for high-stakes demos, including troubleshooting demo controls and managing hardware calibration quality.
