Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Operations Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in NPI program or project management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Operations Engineering or other relevant field.
  • Experience in multiple aspects of hardware operations.
  • Knowledge of typical hardware BOMs, process documentation and assembly and test processes.
  • Effective communicator of project requirements and schedules.
  • Developed leadership, quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, creativity and strategic skills.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Operations Program Manager, you will be the primary Operations/Supply Chain interface to the development and deployment teams with the responsibility for driving operations new product development as well as supporting those products through production ramp. You are well versed in the Contract Manufacturer (CM)/Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) manufacturing environments and will lead a team of professionals to ensure products are designed and built to Google standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional Program teams within Google and with external partners to prepare for production ramp or product transitions.
  • Plan and execute operations development activities and ensure transition to production within cost, quality and capacity parameters.
  • Ensure successful production transitions meeting program goals.
  • Manage ramp readiness with internal teams as well as external partners (i.e., material availability, cost/assembly/test/Bill of Materials (BOM)/capacity readiness and transition plans).
