Mechanical Engineer, Air Cooled Infrastructure, Products and Equipment

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
  • Experience in mechanical infrastructure.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business or other relevant field or a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Experience in estimating, mechanical design, operation, and commissioning of mission critical data center mechanical equipment.
  • Experience in design, construction, and commissioning of mechanical cooling plants, fire suppression systems, fuel oil systems, domestic water systems, and sanitary sewer systems in mission critical facility design and construction environment.
  • Experience in designing modular building scale assemblies, with an understanding of mechanical tolerances and tolerance analysis.
  • Experience with modular construction or prefabrication.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Solidworks, or Revit.

You will achieve and maintain functionality, fastest speed to market, highest quality, and lowest cost.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $144000 - $209000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical lead for air-cooled cooling product designs, collaborating with Operations, Execution, and Construction teams to develop new data center mechanical infrastructure products and selected equipment.
  • Investigate and lead next-generation mechanical system products to align with company long-term strategies.
  • Guide the insertion of new technologies by collaborating with core Engineering teams and external partners during development.
  • Create system-level concepts and schematic designs, carrying them through to detailed, constructable, and modular designs.
