Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in program management, sales operations, or business strategy within a cloud or enterprise software environment.
  • Experience managing and developing a team of program managers or operational professionals.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in working with a range of functional domains (e.g., engineering/user experience/product, finance, policy/legal, marketing, communications) or experience in consulting.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering cross-functional transformation programs that scale field productivity.
  • Deep understanding of consumption-based or subscription business models and GTM sales cycles.
  • Ability to build partnerships with leaders and their teams across Google.
  • Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Within Google Cloud, the Sales Excellence team is responsible for driving the transformation of our Go To Market Sales teams to a culture focused on business value realization through consumption excellence and scaling field productivity. Our goal is to transform our core processes and operations into an enterprise-grade digital platform that systematically accelerates consumption growth.

As a Manager of Business Program Management for Sales Excellence, you will lead a high-performing team within the GTM Strategy and Operations ecosystem. In this role, you will operate as a strategic leader and manager overseeing the business process, opportunity management, and workload operations lifecycle, with a sharp focus on maximizing consumption business. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across product, sales, engineering, change management, and enablement to deploy the tools, processes, and systems required to scale field productivity. Empowering our sellers and channel partners with actionable data, insights, and learning is core to this role. As a people manager, you will partner with executive leadership to navigate complex project statuses, monitor critical timelines, and drive business judgment to support strategic initiatives across the Cloud organization.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $164000 - $240000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Program Managers, driving the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects aligned with top consumption priorities.
  • Manage a portfolio of strategic projects specifically designed to shift sales behaviors toward consumption and revenue value realization.
  • Communicate effectively with executive clients, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional team members to ensure alignment on program goals and deliverables.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate program risks and operational bottlenecks that could impact consumption business goals.
  • Leverage business acumen and investigative insights to guide decision-making, solve complex field problems, and optimize sales processes.
